The first night is spent near Johannesburg Airport so travellers can rest after their international flight. Only a short drive to the selected nearby hotel is planned after collecting the rental car.
Guided safari activities
The bushwalk and guided game drives operate from the Kruger-region lodge or a designated meeting point in specialist safari vehicles. Exact collection times are confirmed locally; the rental car remains parked during these activities.
Age and fitness
The bushwalk has a minimum age of 12 years according to the source programme, subject to final supplier confirmation. Closed shoes, neutral-coloured clothing and a reasonable level of fitness are required.
Roads and timing
Allow approximately five hours from Johannesburg Airport to Hazyview on Day 2, excluding stops and traffic. The drive from Dullstroom to Johannesburg Airport on Day 7 is approximately three hours. Avoid driving after dark.
